U•Store•It is committed to respecting the privacy and security of any information you share with us online. We take commercially reasonable steps to handle personal information responsibly and we only collect information to provide the services that you request. By using this web site (“Site”), you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), together with the Terms and Conditions Agreement for this Site.

The foregoing Policy is effective as of December 18, 2009. This Policy may be amended as described in our Terms and Conditions Agreement.

U•Store•It only collects your personally identifiable information through this Site when you choose to provide such information. This Policy does not address personal information that you provide to us in other contexts (e.g., through a business relationship not handled through this Site). Personal information can include your name, address, telephone number, email address, and / or credit card number and expiration date (for online bill payment). By providing your personal information on-line, you consent to allow U•Store•It to use that information in accordance with this Policy.

You may review and request changes to your personal information that U•Store•It has collected, including the removal of your personal information from U•Store•It's databases, by writing to privacy@ustoreit.com. Complete removal of all information may not be immediate, however, and in some instances, it may not be possible to delete all archival copies of this information. Further, to the extent you remain a customer of U-Store-It, we will retain and use your information as necessary to service your account.

U•Store•It uses your personal information to:

• respond to your inquiry regarding reserving a unit;
  
• enable you to make a bill payment online;
  
• offer you U-Store-It specials and discounts;
• provide you with U•Store•It services and information relevant to those services and to our Site;
• facilitate customer transactions with unaffiliated third-party storage companies that are part of the U-Store-It Network;
• develop new U•Store•It services.

U•Store•It may also use other technologies to track how visitors use our Site. This data is non-identifiable but helps us to determine which pages users view and how they are directed to our Site. Such technologies may include, but are not limited to:

Accordingly, U•Store•It is not responsible for the security and confidentiality of information transmitted via the Internet.

• U•Store•It does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested (including our use of responsible third party vendors), when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
